“ICHOR” — self‑portrait / movie poster concept

For my Imagery class at the start of university, we had to create a movie poster with ourselves as the main character. This is my take on it. It felt very empowering in the corny sense :) I’d never drawn myself before this.

The title ICHOR comes from the Greek mythological concept of the ethereal fluid that ran in the veins of gods and immortals. For me this work is one of my favourites to this day. The subject is me alone, and the colour scheme, effects and overall style are a direct reflection of me as an artist. I loved doing it, and I’d like to create something like this again in the future.
